Honest disclosures

Thought it was time for a few honest disclosures. During 99.9% of this driving marathon Hillary and I were the best of travel buddies. Spending 10-12 hours in a packed car for each of 7 straight days is not for the weak of heart. We took turns driving and agreed to not criticize each other's driving skills. However, there were a couple of tense moments when the directions were a little bit confusing and the driver and the navigator were not in sync.
To our defense, when coming to a crossroad and looking at a road sign such as this one (see below), finding the right road can be puzzling!

*******

Many of our photos were taken from the car window while traveling at 80 mph. If some of the pics seem a bit blurry (like these little prairie dogs), that is why. Especially when zooming in the lens! Please be tolerant. If we had actually stopped for every photo op it would have taken us 4 weeks to get to Fairbanks.

CAR RULE #2: When taking pictures out the window of the moving vehicle, ALWAYS keep the camera strap around your wrist!
*******

You may have noticed a dark spot in the right 1/3 of some pics. I'd like to say it was the shadow of our guardian angel trying desperately to keep up with our "flight to Alaska" but alas, it is not. It is some sort of a flaw in my little camera that can't be removed by cleaning the lens. Seems less obtrusive when we think of it as that exhausted little angel, though, don't you think?
Knowing these disclosures, please keep enjoying the blog!!
