Good for a Snuggle or Two

Our sweet old dog, Shoeless Joe, is our baby. You know how that goes...
But when our grandchildren are here, he feels a bit displaced.
As is his habit, whenever he is wet or cold, we always put an old blanket or towel on the floor for him to lie on.
So naturally, when we put the baby's exercise blanket down, he heads right over and lies carefully in the center of it. He's a well-trained dog, after all.
His questioning eyes ask what this little person is doing on his blanket.

He and Abigail pose in the same position.

He is rather tied up in baby legs and not sure what to do.
Please notice who has more of the blanket space--haha

All this wiggling around has worn him out, so he is trying to encourage Abigail to settle down and fall asleep by showing her how it is done.
They are quite the tight friends these days.
